Vír Dam
The Vír Dam water reservoir was created in order to regulate the flow in the Svratka river basin, to prevent floods and to use the water flow energetically. Originally, its recreational use was considered, but right at the beginning of its operation, its importance was supplemented by its use for water supply purposes.
